The Shaker's inspired step ladder is designed to fold and hang on the wall on a "peg rail" hanger. The idea for the design was to use a single material, wood, also for the hinges and joints of the object. The design stays true to the shaker's aesthetics and way of thinking - the goal of design is to create something as simple, useful, and honest as possible, with minimum use of materials.
