This project offers a fresh and creative way of opening and closing the traditional hand fan, while maintaining the classic look and feel of it.

My fan is made of wooden ribs glued between two sheets of paper, and a wooden handle.

To open the fan, set the wooden handle in a vertical position to the ribs, to create a sound structure that keeps the fan from rolling back.
